Khon Kaen Schools Cricket, featuring matches between the Thailand under 13 cricket champions, and the Khon Kaen 40 to 50 somethings cricket team. matches are held once a month with a barbeque and get together held afterwards. The games are fircly contested but conducted in the best manners of sportsmanship with the boys being magnanamous in victory most times.

The Khon Kaen Schools Cricket League was formed to promote cricket in Khon Kaen Province and Thailand with emphasis on supporting the boys in the Khon Kaen under 13 and 15 teams. Accomplishments to date include finding a reguler venue for matches to be held, providing kit for the boys by way of gaining sponsorship from local and International companies and individuals. This has been achieved to an extent (see sponsors page) but there is still a long way to go to provide continued and reguler sponsorship and funding fo these talented boys.

Achievments on the playing field have been considerable. Earlier in the year the under 13 team won all their matches at the National Championships held in Chiang-Mai. To add to this four boys have been picked for the Thailand National Under 13 Squad picked during trials held in Chang-Mai at the beginning of October. Two of them have also been picked to play for the Under 15 Team that will bee departing for a match in Malaysia to be held late November. This can be viewed as an accolade to the determination and effort of League Coach Eddie Joyner. It also means that funding is becoming more important as the Khon Kaen Schools Cricket League become a truely International entity.
